Many have already become seniors in record time:

From Junior to a Job at Amazon in New York

Thanks to Clemens' great support, I landed a job at Amazon Web Services! This is how I realized my dream: I live in New York and work as a Cloud Application Architect.

As a junior developer, I was fortunate to be mentored by Clemens for several months. He taught me effective work methods and fascinated me with his deep technical knowledge and his passion for software development. Clemens has a special sense for what juniors need to transform them into first-class developers in no time.

Iris Kraya
Dainius Stankevičius

Without Clemens, I wouldn't be CTO today.

I was very fortunate to have Clemens as a mentor during my first steps in web development. Thanks to his valuable support, I'm now a successful development professional and CTO at a startup.

Clemens genuinely cares about his mentees and masterfully helped me tackle technical challenges independently. I can warmly recommend Clemens as an outstanding mentor in software development!

From Career Changer to Engineering Manager

As a career changer, I came to Clemens as an inexperienced developer, especially in the theoretical foundations of software development. With well-thought-out tasks that gradually became more complex, I learned an enormous amount in a short time.

Clemens can explain complex things without making them scary. In no time, I could implement important projects independently. I developed demanding features for an accounting platform in both frontend and backend.

In just a few months, thanks to Clemens' support, I transformed from a career changer to a professional developer. Today I'm an Engineering Manager and would work with Clemens again without hesitation. ❤️

3 reasons why you should schedule a meeting with us

Number of participants limited to 5 for the start date February 2026.

What juniors often ask us:

You should plan for about one to two hours of daily training. This time commitment is deliberately chosen to make the program manageable alongside a full-time job.

Consistency matters more than the duration of individual sessions. Through daily training, you continuously build knowledge and can apply what you've learned directly at work the next day. Many participants report noticing progress in their daily work within just a few days.

Seniority is not measured in years, but in experience. Experience is accumulated through diverse impressions, situations, and professional knowledge. DevCraft Academy offers individualized training programs designed to accelerate experience acquisition by identifying knowledge gaps and providing practical skills in missing areas.

More details on this topic can be found in our blog post.

Mentoring takes place in regular group video calls – twice a week: Tuesdays at 6 PM and Thursdays at 2 PM (CET). Participation is voluntary and flexible.

In these sessions, you can ask questions about any topic: the program itself, tasks at work, job searching, or whatever is on your mind. Even if you don't have your own questions, you can join and learn from others' questions. The format is deliberately kept open to address participants' current needs.

The curriculum covers all areas that a senior developer should master – from frontend and backend to DevOps, testing, and software architecture. In total, there are 19 modules with over 130 lessons.

What makes it special: Your curriculum is individually tailored to your background and goals. In the onboarding call, we analyze your strengths and gaps together. This way, you focus on the topics most relevant to your development, rather than wasting time on what you already know.

No problem – there is no time limit. You can complete the program at your own pace and receive your certificate whenever you finish.

Life sometimes gets in the way – vacation, illness, work commitments. That's perfectly fine. You can take breaks and continue when it suits you. Your progress is preserved.

You can start anytime. DevCraft Academy doesn't work with fixed cohorts or start dates. After registration, you'll immediately receive access to the platform and can begin your personalized curriculum.

This flexible model allows you to choose the optimal time for your start – whether that's right away or after completing a current project at work.

DevCraft Academy combines individual learning with community elements. Each participant works through a personalized curriculum at their own pace, tailored to their individual background and goals.

At the same time, you're part of an active community: You participate in peer reviews where you review code from other participants and receive feedback on your own code. Additionally, there are regular group mentoring sessions where you can ask questions and benefit from others' experiences.

Starting from 3 participants, DevCraft Academy offers the opportunity to go through the program as a team. While all participants receive individual training programs tailored to their strengths and weaknesses, they can complete all team projects together.

Special conditions are offered for teams of 3 or more participants. Further details can be obtained via the contact page.

DevCraft Academy is structured for working professionals. Participants spend approximately one to two hours daily acquiring new skills and knowledge tailored to their background and objectives for maximum efficiency.

Through consistent daily training, developers observe tangible workplace progress within days, immediately applying newly acquired capabilities in their professional roles.

The academy offers its program in German and English. The mentor team speaks German, English, and Spanish at native-speaker level.

Generally, at least 6 months of work experience is required. However, exceptions have been made in the past for candidates who could demonstrate sufficient web development experience through training, internships, or personal hobby projects.

Interested individuals with less formal work experience can arrange a personal conversation with the team to discuss their individual qualifications and determine together whether participation in the program is possible.

No, there is no final exam. DevCraft Academy relies on continuous assessment through practical exercises, code reviews, and projects instead of a final examination.

This approach reflects the reality of software development: What matters is not passing an exam, but the ability to write high-quality code and work in a team. Your projects and the feedback from reviews demonstrate your competencies better than any exam grade.

DevCraft Academy can be completed entirely online. All that is required is a computer and internet connection. Participants receive access to a custom-built training platform with a personalized training program that can be worked on daily according to their own schedule.

The mentoring video calls also take place online. Mentors are available at any time via the Slack community. For corporate clients, an optional in-person kick-off is offered to meet the team and start together.

DevCraft Academy does not teach specific programming languages or frameworks, but rather focuses on fundamental web developer skills. The course covers topics such as software architecture, code quality, and deep understanding of web technologies and applications.

The practical programming exercises use the core languages of the web: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript – regardless of whether participants already know PHP, Java, or Python. This approach enables transferring the learned concepts to various programming languages.

DevCraft Academy is aimed at web developers who want to deepen their knowledge of professional web application development. The program provides comprehensive knowledge from all areas of web development – frontend, backend, databases, DevOps and security.

Participants receive a customized program that takes their existing skills into account and focuses on topics not yet mastered. While individual focus areas are possible, it is recommended to acquire broad knowledge across all aspects of web development.

Yes, throughout the program you'll create three comprehensive projects: a frontend project, a backend project, and a DevOps project. These projects simulate real-world work scenarios and are submitted via pull requests – just like in professional development teams.

All projects belong to you and can be used as portfolio pieces for job applications or discussions with employers. They demonstrate not only technical skills but also professional practices like code reviews and Git workflows.

DevCraft Academy provides a structured 6-month training program with daily instruction, covering new topics, challenging exercises, team projects, and mentoring from experienced developers.

6 months is the recommended duration with consistent daily training. In reality, most participants take longer – and that's perfectly fine. There is no time limit. You can take breaks and learn at your own pace.

Upon completing the DevCraft Academy program, participants receive a certificate confirming successful completion of the senior-level training.

Key points:

  • The certificate is awarded upon full program completion
  • There is no time limit – you can learn at your own pace
  • Continued access to the training platform is provided after certification to reinforce acquired knowledge
  • The academy emphasizes that learning should continue beyond certificate receipt

The program focuses on sustained professional development rather than treating certification as a final endpoint.
